Beliefs

What We Believe

Trinity

We believe in the Trinity existing in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:2, 26; John 1:2, 14; Matthew 28:19)

Trinity was active in creating all of creation.

We believe all three were active in creating all of creation. (John 1:3; Genesis 1:1, 2)

Authority of God’s Word.

We believe in the authority of God’s Word. (II Timothy 3:16)

Virgin birth and deity of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the virgin birth and deity of Jesus Christ, the Eternal Son of God. (Luke 1:28-33; John 1:1-4)

Jesus dying on a cross.

We believe in Jesus dying on a cross to make atonement for the sins of the world, efficient for all who believe and repent. (II Corinthians 5:21)

Bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus which insures the resurrection of all believers who have received God’s gift of eternal life. (I Corinthians 15:3-4)

Resurrection

We believe in a resurrection of judgment in regard to unbelievers, who reject the Gospel. (John 12:48)

Jesus coming again.

We believe in Jesus coming again. (Matthew 24:30-31; John 14:2-3; Revelations 22:20)

Sin.

We believe every person through sin is lost and separated from God. (Romans 3:10-11; Isaiah 59:2)

Salvation

We believe salvation from everlasting punishment and entrance into fellowship with God is only through belief in Jesus and His death for us. (John 3:15; John 14:6)

Baptism by immersion.

We believe in following Jesus’ example of baptism by immersion. (Galations 3:27; Romans 6:3-4)

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells all who receive Jesus as both Savior and Lord. (Ephesians 1:13-14)

Holy Spirit is resposible for death to life.

We believe the Holy Spirit is responsible for the quickening from death to life and for the continuing work of sanctification in the believer. (Romans 8:9-11)

Church.

We believe the church is the body of Christ, a spiritual organism of born-again believers who publicly confess and remember His death in the partaking of communion. (I Corinthians 11:23-25)

Separation of Believers.

We believe all believers are to be in the world but separate from its influence. (John 17:14-16)

All Christians are called to witness for Jesus.

We believe all Christians are called to witness for Jesus, to preach the gospel, and to study the Bible personally through the power of the Holy Spirit until we mature into what God has purposed for us. (Matthew 28:18-20; II Timothy 2:15)
